Heat your hot tub or spa to at least 85 degrees Farenheit, 30 degrees celsius. before starting. 1kg (2.2lbs) in 1000 litres (264 imperial gallons) of water is eqal to 1000 ppm.
Example 3kg (6.6lbs) of salt dissolved in 1500 litres (396.3 imperial gallons) of water gives 2000 ppm of salt. An 8oz cup (236.6ml) of salt is equal to 288 grams; 250ml is approximately 304 grams.
A 1500 litre spa will take approximately 10 cups. Using a measuring cup add the appropriate amount of Saltup to the center of the hot tub/spa.
Improved dilution is achieved by having the jets active. Always test the current salinity level before adding Saltup to determine the correct amount to be added.
Circulate your hot/tub water for at least 20 minutes, then test the Saltup salt level with a salinity test strip or meter.
